This is Mia. Mia is from Osaka. She has a new job in London. She has a new room, too.
The room is small. It is at the top of the house. There is a bed. There is a table. There is a big window. But there is no chair.
In the morning, Mia eats on the bed. In the evening, she works on the bed. She reads on the bed, too. The bed is her chair. It is not good for her back.
"I want a chair," says Mia. So she goes to a shop. There are many chairs in the shop. There is a red chair. It is very nice. But it is very big. And it is not cheap.
There is a small white chair. It is good, but it is not cheap. Mia looks at her money. She does not have much. She does not buy a chair. She goes home.
At home, there is a woman at the door. She is old, and she has a cat. The cat is big and grey. "Hello," says the woman. "I am Mrs Green. I live next door."
"Hello," says Mia. "I am Mia." "Is this your new room?" asks Mrs Green. "Yes, it is," says Mia. "It is small, and there is no chair."
Mrs Green smiles. "Wait here," she says. She goes into her room. Then she comes back. She has a chair in her hands. It is brown and very old.
"This is for you," says Mrs Green. "I have two chairs, and I am one person." "My cat does not sit on chairs." "He sits on the bed." Mia laughs. "Thank you!" she says.
The chair is old, but it is good. Mia puts it by the window. She sits on it. She can see the city. She can see the sky, too.
Now Mia eats at the table. She works at the table. She reads by the window. The room is small, but it is good. It is her room now.
