Mia likes music. On the way to work, she listens to music on her phone. On the way home, she listens, too. Music makes the train short.
One evening, there is music in the station. It is not on her phone. It is a man with a guitar. He sits on a small chair by the stairs. He plays and sings.
His voice is not loud, but it is very good. His songs are old and a little sad. Many people walk past. Some people stop and listen. Mia stops, too.

She stops for one song. Then she stops for two songs. Then she is late for her train. She does not mind. She puts a coin in his guitar case. He smiles at her.

"Are you OK?" she asks. "There is no music all week." "Yes," says the man. "My family is in Scotland." "I go and see them every year." "I am Joe." "I am Mia," says Mia. "I like your songs."
Joe gives her a small card. "I play in a bar on Saturday nights," he says. "Come and listen." "Bring a friend."

On Saturday, Mia goes to the bar with Ben. It is small and warm. Joe plays all evening. At the end, he plays one song for "Mia from the station". Ben looks at her. "Lovely," he says.
